1.     Screwdriver. Don’t underestimate this simple drink. The Screwdriver only has two ingredients: vodka and orange juice. Add two ounces of vodka and then enough orange juice to fill your glass. Because this recipe is so simple, it leaves a lot of room for customization.

2.    Navy Grog. This drink has so many different variations that it’s almost impossible to have the same mixture twice. It started as a refreshing drink for British sailors and has evolved since then. One variation combines 1 ½ ounce Pusser’s Navy Rum, 1 ounce orange curacao, ¾ ounce fresh lime juice, 2 ounces fresh orange juice, 2 ounces of water, and a dash of Angostura bitters.

3.    Sour Sunrise. Maker’s Mark Bourbon and fresh juices make this recipe sing. This drink is a play on the ever-popular tequila sunrise. In a glass, mix 1 ½ ounce whiskey, 1 ¼ ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice, ½ ounce fresh-squeezed orange juice, ½ ounce simple syrup, and ½ ounce grenadine. For added customization, mix your own simple syrup and grenadine.

4.    Bocce Ball. This is a spiced-up version of the classic Screwdriver. Combine 1 ½ ounces vodka, ½ ounce amaretto, a splash of soda water, and enough orange juice to fill the glass. The addition of amaretto adds a roundness and the soda water adds a lightness, making it a little more refreshing.

5.    Abbey Cocktail. This drink is an old recipe that came from a 1930s cocktail book, so there’s nothing new about mixing alcohol and orange juice! This recipe calls for 1 ½ ounces gin, ¾ ounce Lillet Blanc, ¾ ounce orange juice, and two dashes of orange bitters. Shake well and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

6.    Cantarito. This popular Mexican cocktail is the perfect summer drink for lounging at a pool or spending a day at the beach. It’s got quite a few ingredients, but all of them mix nicely with each other for a refreshing treat. In a glass, combine 1 ½ ounces tequila, ½ ounce lime juice, ½ ounce lemon juice, ½ ounce orange juice, and 4 ounces of grapefruit soda. Garnish with a lemon, lime, or orange wedge.

7.    Basil-Rosemary Orange Shandy. If you’re searching for a good beer drink to serve at your wedding, this shandy is a tasty option. The recipe is a little complex because you have to mix an orangeade before you make the shandy. For the orangeade, mix 3 cups water, 1 cup sugar, 2 2-inch pieces of orange zest, 4 cups orange juice ¼ cup basil leaves, and ¼ cup rosemary. Once your orangeade is mixed, add 6 ounces of it to 6 ounces of beer and enjoy.
