All right, it’s time to get super sappy up in here! This list is going to make your heart ache and make you cringe at the same time.

Here goes the ten best Valentine’s Day songs from a variety of different genres.

10 Awesome Valentine’s Day Songs

1.     “I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen. Valentine’s day is all about fun and playfulness, and this Carly Rae Jepsen song embodies all of that. Maybe you’re not quite in love yet, but if you really, really, really, really like someone, then this can be your V-day song.

2.    “Still Into You” by Paramore. Another fun pop song, this Paramore song is a real bop. If your long-term partner still gives you butterflies when you see them, then stash this song on your Valentine’s day playlist.

3.    “I Will Follow You Into The Dark” by Death Cab for Cutie. Moving away from pop songs, this song is sobering, deep, and all about lasting love. If you’ll follow your lover into the dark, then this song is for you. Also, this song would make an amazing first dance song for your wedding.

4.    “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” by Queen. Who can resist Freddie Mercury’s strong vocals and playfulness? Even if you don’t like classic rock, this song is almost impossible to dislike. Get ready for that crazy little thing called love.

5.    “Sweet Lady” by Tyrese. If you’re in need of a good 90s R&B slow jam for the nighttime Valentine’s Day celebration, this Tyrese song is a classic. With smooth vocals and an edgy feel, it stays romantic without being too sappy.

6.    “For You I Will” by Monica. This is an all-time hit song. The lyrics are awesome, and Monica’s voice does not disappoint. Whether you like singing along or lip-syncing, this song is a requirement for any Valentine’s day playlist.

7.    “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Country music has some stellar love songs, too, and this is one of my favorites. This duet by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill can give even the coldest person chills.

8.    “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain. Don’t sleep in this 90s country classic. It’s an irresistible love song and can fit anywhere in your night of festivities. Play this song during a romantic dinner or while cuddling on the couch. It works any time.

9.    “L.O.V.E.” by Nat King Cole. You can’t have a Valentine’s Day playlist without this jazz number. It’s lasted through the decades as a classic romance song, so don’t forget to add it to your V-Day mix!

10. “You Go To My Head” by Billie Holiday. This list isn’t right without at least one Billie Holiday song. Her quirky voice and sultry lyrics can put anyone in the mood for love. This song is the perfect soundtrack to a candle-lit dinner and drinks.

Valentine’s Day isn’t complete without chocolates, red wine, and the perfect loving playlist. Even if you and your significant other decide to kick back and have a lazy night at home, you can still surprise them with a collection of excellent V-Day tunes that let them know just how much you love and appreciate them.
